Abstract (English):	Publication arbitrated by external peers has long been the way to ensure quality research and gives confidence that the article is of value to the reader. Predatory journals and their publications pose a global threat to the quality of scientific literature, the accuracy of educational resources and the safety of their results. The predatory publication uses an exploitative business model, poor quality control measures and a misleading publication. Given the proliferation of these journals and the extreme measures used to disguise publications of inferior quality, avoiding them can be difficult. This article aims to offer ways to avoid predatory journals for both the experienced and the inexperienced author. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish):	La publicación arbitrada por pares externos ha sido durante mucho tiempo la forma de asegurar una investigación de calidad y brinda la confianza de que el artículo es de valor para el lector. Las revistas depredadoras y sus publicaciones plantean una amenaza global para la calidad de la literatura científica, la precisión de los recursos educativos y la seguridad de sus resultados. La publicación depredadora utiliza un modelo comercial explotador, medidas de control de calidad deficientes y una publicación engañosa. Dada la proliferación de estas revistas y las medidas extremas utilizadas para disfrazar las publicaciones de calidad inferior, evitarlas puede resultar difícil.
