The article presents case study of 28-year-old White female who endorsed fatigue, muscle weakness and palpitations. It mentions importance of a physiologicallydriven approach to the diagnosis and management of hypophosphatemia; and also mentions role of parathyroid hormone (PTH) to increase the absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the gut by upregulating the synthesis of calcitriol. |
