Abstract (English): Introduction. Pulp necrosis is the second most common complication after dental injuries due to Trauma and is usually of diverse etiology. Case report. The present investigation documents a case in which a Dens evaginatus was observed in the first lower left premolar being in infraocclusion whit a diagnosis of pulp necrosis and the need for endodontic treatment. The case was treated by filling the antire conduct with a biactive material and following two years, the endodontic treatment was presented as atypical due to its approach and filling technique, with minimal mechanical coronal access, using calcium hydroxide with iodoform as intraconduct medication and complete sealing of this permament premolar. Conclusions. Consequently the tooth is in occlusion, asymptomatic and with a good evolution in its apical formation. Additionally a systematic review of the literatura was made regarding these cases, expressed in a table, according to the diagnosis and treatment performed by other authors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): Introducción. La necrosis pulpar es la segunda complicación más común después de las lesiones dentales por traumatismos y suelen ser de etiología diversa. Reporte de caso. La presente investigación documenta un caso en el cual se observó un dens evaginatus en el primer premolar inferior izquierdo encontrándose en infraoclusión con un diagnóstico de necrosis pulpar y la necesidad de un tratamiento endodóntico. El caso fue tratado por obturación del conducto completo con un material bioactivo y un seguimiento de dos años, el tratamiento endodóntico se presentó como atípico debido a su abordaje y técnica de obturación, con un acceso coronal mecánico mínimo, empleando hidróxido de calcio con yodoformo como medicación intraconducto y la obturación completa de este premolar permanente. Conclusiones. Consecuentemente el diente se encuentra en oclusión, asintomático y con una buena evolución en su formación apical. Adicionalmente se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática de la bibliografía al respecto de estos casos, expresada en una tabla, de acuerdo al diagnóstico y tratamiento realizado por otros autores.
