| Abstract (English): |
The intralobar pulmonary sequestration is a rare disease, that often present difficulty with diagnosis by heterogenicity of symtoms. We report a case of 40 years old woman, who suffer from pneumonia frecuently. Diagnosis of pulmonary sequestration was performed using the modern diagnostic imagin techniques. Classic treatment of pulmonary sequestration is by open thoracic surgery, there are alternatives such as endovascular embolization like definitive therapeutic treatment using embospheras and microcoils. No complications were encountered. The treatment of pulmonary sequestration by cathete rization is less invasive than classic surgical treatment, has lower incidence of complications and can be a safe alternative method of curative treatment. El secuestro pulmonar intralobar constituye una entidad rara, de difícil diagnóstico dada su variable presentación y la heterogenicidad de los síntomas. Se presenta el caso de una paciente de sexo femenino de 40 años de edad, con antecedentes de bronconeumonías de repetición, a la cual se le diagnosticó un secuestro pulmonar. El tratamiento clásico ha sido mediante cirugía torácica abierta, sin embargo, se decidió optar por la embolización arterial transcatéter como tratamiento definitivo, utilizando embosferas y micro coils, obteniéndose buenos resultados posprocedimiento. La embolización arterial transcatéter constituye una modalidad terapéutica definitiva en desarrollo que debe considerarse como alternativa ante el tratamiento quirúrgico en este tipo de lesiones.
