| Abstract (English): |
Conducting biomedical research is essential in both the clinical and research areas;. It entails a series of dangers for people involved in these activities. These risks, could be biological, chemical or radiological. These risks can be mitigated or controlled with appropriate protocols and recommendations. This guide shows in a simple way, the main measures and considerations that a researcher who carries out a protocol must know and apply, in order to make a correct assessment of the risk that the activities involved in the protocol. Thus, is essential to implement measures to ensure health and safety of involved people, whether they directly participate or not in the protocol. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

La realización de investigación biomédica, es fundamental tanto en el área clínica como de la investigación; entraña una serie de peligros para las personas involucradas en estas actividades. Estos riesgos pueden ser riesgos biológicos, químicos y radiológicos. Los riesgos pueden ser mitigados o controlados con protocolos y recomendaciones adecuados. En esta guía se muestran de manera sencilla las principales medidas y consideraciones que un investigador debe conocer y observar para poder hacer una correcta evaluación de riesgos inherentes a las actividades implicadas en su protocolo. Por ende, es esencial implementar las medidas que aseguren la salud e integridad de las personas involucradas en dicho protocolo, quienes puede ser participantes o no. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
