Abstract (English): The article in Kiru Magazine focuses on the modification of the designation of the professional practice of dentists in Peru, changing from "AEO" to "AMEEO". It highlights the autonomy of the dentist in their practice, the importance of ethical communication with the patient, and the legal regulation of the profession in the country. The Congress unanimously approved this modification, excluding the participation of other health professionals in the medical act. Abstract (Spanish): El artículo de la Revista Kiru se centra en la modificación de la denominación del ejercicio profesional de los odontólogos en Perú, cambiando de "AEO" a "AMEEO". Se destaca la autonomía del odontólogo en su práctica, la importancia de la comunicación ética con el paciente y la regulación legal de la profesión en el país. El Congreso aprobó unánimemente esta modificación, excluyendo la participación de otros profesionales de la salud en el acto médico.
