Abstract (English):	Objective: To evaluate the perspectives on the investigative skills of the graduates who participated in the activities of an SCE. Methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional study involving 40 graduates who were members of the Scientific Society of Dentistry Students (SCEO). A scale was used that investigated the investigative skills learned: search for information, data analysis, critical thinking, problem solving, etc. Results: 50% of graduates stated that they fully agreed that the SCEO allowed them to learn new research skills. Graduates who had at least one scientific publication presented better perspectives regarding learning new research skills. The graduates considered researchers had better scores regarding the fact that participation in the SCEO contributed positively to the vision of the career. Conclusions: The graduates of a Student Scientific Society of Dentistry agree that their investigative skills, public communication skills and critical thinking improved. Abstract (Spanish):	Objetivo: Evaluar las perspectivas sobre las competencias investigativas de los egresados que participaron de las actividades de una Sociedad Científica Estudiantil (SCE). Métodos: Estudio descriptivo, transversal donde participaron 40 egresados que fueron miembros de la Sociedad Científica de Estudiantes de Odontología (SCEO). Se utilizó una escala que indagó las competencias investigativas aprendidas: búsqueda la información, análisis de datos, pensamiento crítico, resolución de problemas, etc. Resultados: El 50% de egresados manifestó estar totalmente de acuerdo que la SCEO les permitió aprender nuevas habilidades de investigación. Los egresados que tuvieron al menos una publicación científica presentaron mejores perspectivas respecto al aprendizaje de nuevas habilidades de investigación. Los egresados considerados investigadores tuvieron mejores puntuaciones respecto a que la participación en la SCEO contribuyó positivamente en la visión de la carrera. Conclusiones: Los egresados de una Sociedad Científica Estudiantil de Odontología están de acuerdo en que mejoraron sus habilidades investigativas, capacidades para comunicarse en público y su pensamiento crítico. Los egresados que tuvieron alguna responsabilidad en la SCEO estuvieron más de acuerdo en haber desarrollado habilidades de trabajo en equipo. Así como aquellos que tuvieron al menos una publicación científica presentó mejores perspectivas respecto al aprendizaje de nuevas habilidades investigativas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
