| Abstract (English): |
A suspected diagnosis of a patient with different sexual development (DSD) represents a challenge for neonatologists and pediatricians. These patients should be referred as soon as possible to be studied by a multidisciplinary team of specialists with experience in these cases. With the aim of improving the quality of medical care in patients with DSD, the Latin American Society of Pediatric Endocrinology, developed this recommendation for first contact doctors who are the ones who should initially suspect it.
