Abstract (English): Sleep is one of the most important physiological processes in the first year of life. It directly depends on the central nervous system and brain maturation. Premature newborns, during their care in intensive care units, are exposed to different factors that prevent them from having an appropriate sleep-wake cycle. In this review article, some interventions to improve sleep architecture in premature newborns are described. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
