| Abstract (English): |
The objective of the present study was to evaluate the performance of Dental Specialty Centers (CEOs) in the country. The Unified Health System (SUS) plays a crucial role in offering dental services to the Brazilian population, guaranteeing free access to a variety of dental specialties. However, the system faces challenges, such as a shortage of professionals in some regions and long waiting times for care. Interdisciplinarity between different specialties is essential to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients. Improvements in infrastructure, investments in professional training and implementation of prevention policies are fundamental to improving the supply and quality of dental services in the SUS, contributing to the promotion of the population's oral health. | Abstract (Portuguese): |
