Abstract (English): Heart failure (HF) is a complex and progressive disease in which the heart is unable to supply the body with sufficient blood and oxygen. Recently, there has been increasing attention to the study of HF in people of middle biological age, when the disease may be latent or manifest itself in a form other than the classic symptoms. The diagnosis of heart failure in this age group represents a significant challenge, as the manifestations of the disease may be subtle and overlap with other age-related diseases. The main methods of diagnosing HF include clinical observations, analyses, instrumental investigations (ECG, echocardiography, chest radiography) and laboratory tests such as determination of natriuretic peptide levels. Effective diagnosis requires a comprehensive approach that includes evaluation of the patient's complaints, historical data, and the use of modern technologies such as magnetic resonance imaging. Therapeutic approaches to the treatment of middle-aged HFare varied and include drug treatment (ACE inhibitors, beta-blockers, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists) as well as non-drug methods such as lifestyle changes, weight control and diet. In some cases, surgical intervention such as pacemakers or heart transplantation is indicated. It is also important to consider co-morbid conditions such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus and coronary heart disease, which require an individualized approach to treatment. The article discusses methods of diagnosis and treatment of heart failure in middle-aged patients, as well as the role of prevention and early diagnosis in improving the quality of life and increasing the life expectancy of this category of patients.
