| Abstract (English): |
Objective. To develop recommendations on the diagnosis, treatment and surveillance of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) by consensus. Materials and methods. The consensus was done through a modified Delphi panel. A committee defined 12 main topics and assigned a working group of specialists per topic where the specialists voted on whether the recommendation was appropriate for inclusion in the report with a concordance of 50% +1. Results. A consensus was reached on 56 recommendations based on the scientific evidence identified and evaluated by the group of experts who, through a formal consensus, agreed on the final wording of the clinical recommendations. Conclusion. The present guidelines provide clinical recommendations for the diagnosis and management of the different stages of EOC, which contributes to the continuous improvement of the quality of care for cancer patients in Mexico. Objetivo. Desarrollar recomendaciones sobre el diagnóstico, tratamiento y vigilancia del cáncer epitelial de ovario (CEO) mediante consenso. Material y métodos. El consenso se realizó a través de un panel Delphi modificado. Un comité definió 12 temas principales y asignó un grupo de trabajo de especialistas por tema, en donde los especialistas votaron si la recomendación era apropiada para inclusión en el reporte con una concordancia de 50% +1. Resultados. Se consensuaron 56 recomendaciones basadas en la evidencia científica identificada y evaluada por el grupo de expertos, quienes (a través de un consenso formal) concordaron en la redacción final de las recomendaciones clínicas. Conclu-sión. La presente guía provee recomendaciones clínicas para el diagnóstico y manejo de las diferentes etapas clínicas del CEO, lo cual contribuye a la mejora continua de la calidad de atención en pacientes con cáncer en México.
