Abstract (English): INTRODUCTION: Childhood cancer is a significant cause of pediatric morbidity and mortality. Although survival rates have improved, especially in developed countries, survivors face physical, cognitive, and social consequences. In Mexico, few studies analyze their reintegration and well-being. This study assesses perceptions of social acceptance, educational and employment reintegration, and happiness levels in survivors treated at a specialized cancer center. OBJECTIVE: To assess, through a cross-sectional survey, the reintegration and perception of social acceptance of childhood cancer survivors in a specialized center. METHODOLOGY: A cross-sectional assessment was conducted using a predesigned survey of childhood cancer survivors. This survey was administered digitally via WhatsApp® to patients who agreed to participate. The following aspects were assessed: Oncological: Diagnosis and treatment. Academic and professional: Occupation and salary. Relationship status: Partner. Happiness and satisfaction: Level of happiness, acceptance, and satisfaction. RESULTS: Twenty-seven childhood cancer survivors participated, 17 women and 10 men. They were survivors of lymphomas (5), brain tumors (5), retinoblastoma (3), kidney tumors (4), Langerhans cell histiocytosis (3), among others. Three of the participants were treated with surgery, eight with surgery and chemotherapy, and 18 of the 27 received multimodal therapy. Eight of the participants were working, 17 were students. Eight patients were employed, and seven had jobs. CONCLUSIONS: This study represents an approach to addressing the social and emotional situation of childhood cancer survivors. It is limited by the small sample size, representing 10% of all survivors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
