| Abstract (English): | The article presents a series of studies and clinical cases related to various neurological conditions in the pediatric population. Topics such as ischemic stroke in children, the prevalence of symptoms of depression and anxiety in patients with migraines, and the clinical and genetic correlation in cases of rare diseases are addressed. The implications of deep brain stimulation in dystonias, the utility of brain ultrasound in premature neonates, and the neurotoxicity associated with methotrexate in patients with leukemia are also discussed. Through these studies, the importance of early diagnosis and proper management of these conditions is highlighted to improve the quality of life for patients. [Extracted from the article] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | El artículo presenta una serie de estudios y casos clínicos relacionados con diversas condiciones neurológicas en la población pediátrica. Se abordan temas como el accidente cerebrovascular isquémico en niños, la prevalencia de síntomas de depresión y ansiedad en pacientes con migraña, y la correlación clínica y genética en casos de enfermedades raras. También se discuten las implicaciones de la estimulación cerebral profunda en distonías, la utilidad de la ecografía cerebral en neonatos prematuros, y la neurotoxicidad asociada al metotrexato en pacientes con leucemia. A través de estos estudios, se destaca la importancia del diagnóstico temprano y el manejo adecuado de estas condiciones para mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes.
