Abstract (English): Introduction: Students diagnosed with dyslexia show a higher risk of internalizing problems (anxiety, depres sion, and low self-concept). Therefore, the main objective of this study was to examine internalizing problems in students with dyslexia. Materials and Method: Thirty-seven students with dyslexia (DG) and a comparison group of thirty-nine typically developing students (GC) participated. Self-report measures of anxiety, depression, academic self-concept, and reading self-concept were administered. Results: Self-reports of internalizing disorders indi cated that students in the dyslexia group (DG) exhibited higher levels of depressive symptoms, greater anxiety state, lower academic self-concept, and lower reading self-concept compared to students in the control group (CG). Discussion: In conclusion, our findings suggest that the internalizing disorders experienced by students with dyslexia should be recognized early and promptly addressed by education professionals.
