| Abstract (English): | The research question, the research problem and the purpose of the study form the starting point for embarking on a research project. Developing a research question and defining the research problem is an interactive process with no set order. For the purposes of this presentation, I shall first describe the nature of the qualitative research question and then the development of the research problem, which involves reflecting and engaging in dialogue with oneself, with colleagues, with tutors and with the literature. Every study has a direction expressed in its purpose, to which I shall also refer. To provide you with a comprehensive overview of what the research process entails, before breaking it down in the subsequent articles of this work, I describe it here in its entirety and outline the role of theory in this process. | Abstract (Spanish): | La pregunta, el problema a investigar y el propósito del estudio constituyen el punto de partida para iniciar una investigación. La construcción de una pregunta y el problema es un proceso interactivo y sin orden especifico establecido. A efectos de exposición aquí describo primero la naturaleza de la pregunta de investigación cualitativa y luego el desarrollo del problema a investigar, lo cual implica reflexión y dialogo consigo mismo, con colegas, tutores y con la bibliografía. Todo estudio tiene una dirección expresada en su propósito al cual también me referiré. A fin de que tengas una visión integral de lo que implica el proceso de investigación, antes de fragmentarlo en los siguientes artículos de esta obra, aquí lo describo de manera integral y expongo el papel que tiene la teoría en dicho proceso. A construção de uma pergunta e do problema é um processo interativo, sem uma ordem específica estabelecida. Para fins de exposição, descrevo aqui, em primeiro lugar, a natureza da pergunta de pesquisa qualitativa e, em seguida, o desenvolvimento do problema a ser investigado, o que implica reflexão e diálogo consigo mesmo, com colegas, orientadores e com a bibliografia. Todo estudo tem uma direção expressa em seu objetivo, ao qual também me referirei.
