| Abstract (English): |
This study presents a preliminary analysis of the evolution of adherence and motivation to change in young adult patients with eating disorders (ED) enrolled in a group outpatient program. Following the introduction of support groups, a significant improvement in adherence was observed, with a reduction in dropout rate (from 72.7% to 13.6%) and an increase in attendance (from 67.5% to 82.7%), as well as a favourable evolution in motivation to change. Group cohesion and therapeutic alliance emerged as relevant factors in these changes. The findings suggest that group interventions may be a viable alternative in outpatient settings to improve therapeutic bonding in patients with ED. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
