| Abstract (English): |
The following article presents a quantitative descriptive type study regarding the social, demographic and epidemiologic situation in more than a thousand violence related internal refugee families arriving at the Ciudad Bolívar locality in Bogotá, with emphasis in health state, education and habitat. The family folder designed by the Asociación Colombiana de Facultades de Medicina (ASCOFAME) was used as the information recollection tool, being applied voluntarily to 1,447 families of which 571 were vulnerable receptive population and 876 were internal refugees, between December 2006 and July 2008. We concluded that the internal refugee population is at a special state of vulnerability for the exercise of their fundamental rights, situation that begins before the displacement moment and perpetuates once they arrive to the receptor district.
