Introduction: A violation is easy to do but before an indictment is difficult to prove and harder to defend by the accused. there are now major scientific and technological advances in medicine, particularly in forensic pathology is currently a series evidence to demonstrate, by means of cytology smear of the penis, the alleged violation vaginally. Objectives: To identify the degree of correlation that exists in the identification of epithelial cells of the penis and vagina by a panel of five pathologists. Material and methods: We conducted an observational, analytical, comparative and cross. Cytologic samples of vaginal epithelium were collected in the area of Preventive Medicine Specialty Clinic for Women. Epithelium in cytologic samples were taken from the penis of the male individual volunteers. We obtained 60 samples of different epithelia. Results: The study was done with 60 samples. 30 corresponded to 30 a penis and vagina, each of five pathologists made their comments without any communication between them. each getting different results. Discussion: The identification of vaginal cells in a vaginal smear pstcoito penis is inaccurate in a statistically significant percentage. Conclusion: The cytologic discrepancies by pathologists indicate that the test is not decisive for cytology taken as evidence of absolute value. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

Introducción: Una violación es fácil de hacer pero ante una acusación es difícil de probar y más dificil de defender por la parte acusada, en la actualidad existen grandes avances científicos y tecnológicos en la medicina, particularmente en la Patología Forense donde se cuenta actualmente con una serie de pruebas para demostrar, por medio de la citología de frotis de pene, la presunta violación pot vía vaginal. Objetivos: Identificar el grado de concordancia que existe en la identificación de epitelios del pene y vagina por un grupo de cinco patólogos. Material y métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio observacional. analítico, comparativo y transversal. Las muestras citológicas del epitelio de vagina fueron recolectadas en el área de Medicina Pre- ventiva de la Clínica de Especialidades de la Mujer. Las muestras citológicas de epitelio de pene se tomaron de individuos del sexo masculino voluntarios. Se obtuvieron 60 muestras de los diferentes epitelios. Resultados: El estudio se hizo con 60 muestras: 30 correspondia a pene y 30 a vagina, cada uno de los cinco patólogos hicieron sus observaciones sin que hubiese comunicación entre ellos, obteniendo cada uno de ellos resultados diferentes. Discusión: La identificación de células vaginales en un frotis de pene postcoito vaginal es imprecisa en un porcentaje estadisticamente significativo. Conclusión: Las discrepancias citológicas pot los patólogos indican que la prueba de citología no es determinante para tomarlos como una prueba de valor absoluto. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
