Abstract (English): The need to rehabilitate the muscles of a colostomy through electrical stimulation, using a portable instrument, to regaining contingency is of great necessity for colostomized patients. In 1994, Awad and Luna developed a straight-anal simulator that shows the power and pressure variations in the rectum and the internal anal sphincter. In 2000, Riedy et al. used a battery-powered stimulator to stimulate the sphincter muscle, with a stream of 0-100 mA and 35 Hz. In 2005, Awad et al. They developed a virtual simulator of colon mechanics with computer programs. In 2006, Awad and Sagahón developed a device to stimulate the visceral smooth muscle in a colostomy for to regaining voluntary continent. The purpose was to design and build a portable 3 variables electronic stimulator (pressure, voltage and current). We design a prototype portable stimulator of 3 variables controlled by a pressure sensor. The current and voltage of the equipment were calibrated using a digital multimeter, and frequency using a digital oscilloscope. The design, development and assembly of the electronic stimulator will be used in the experimental animal colostomy model, evaluating and controlling pressure, voltage and frequency variables. Abstract (Spanish): La necesidad de rehabilitar los músculos de una colostomía mediante estímulos eléctricos, por medio de un instrumento portátil para volverla continente es de gran necesidad para pacientes colostomizados. En 1994, Awad y Luna desarrollaron un simulador recto-anal que muestra las variaciones eléctricas y de presión en el recto y en el esfínter anal interno. En 2000 Riedy, y cols. Usaron un dispositivo de batería para estimular el esfínter, mediante una corriente de 0-100 mA y 35 Hz. En 2005 Awad y cols. desarrollaron un simulador virtual de la mecánica del colon con programas computacionales. En 2006 Awad y Sagahón desarrollaron un dispositivo para estimular el músculo liso visceral en una colostomía para volverla continente a voluntad. El propósito de este trabajo fue diseñar y armar un estimulador electrónico portátil de 3 variables (presión, voltaje y corriente). Se diseñó un prototipo de estimulador de 3 variables controlado mediante un sensor de presión. La corriente y el voltaje del equipo fueron calibrados mediante un multímetro digital, y la frecuencia mediante un osciloscopio digital. El diseño, desarrollo y armado del estimulador electrónico servirá para utilizarlo en la colostomía del modelo experimental animal, valorando y controlando las variables de presión, voltaje y frecuencia.
