Abstract (English): In the last years bibliographic references managers have emerged as a very valuable tool for researchers. It allows organization, treatment and spread of the information from their researches. This paper shows the basic characteristics, functioning and peculiarities that every reference manager needs in order to have a good working. Abstract (Spanish): En los últimos años han surgido los gestores de referencias bibliográficas, una herramienta muy valiosa para los investigadores, ya que permite la organización, el tratamiento y la difusión de la información utilizada en sus investigaciones. Se presentan las características básicas y las particularidades que todo gestor de referencias incorpora para un correcto funcionamiento.
