The results were of 254 pregnant women who were studied 56 (22%) participated in the course of Psychoprophylaxis Perinatal and 198 (78%) did not participate. The main reason for not attending the course is because they found out. The current total number of patients with non-pharmacological techniques applied. The control variables of pain, fear and level of knowledge resulted in significant difference with an advantage to women with current and considering the variables of obstetric analgesia, cesarean section and labor time resulted in no significant difference. Conclusions. Women who perform during perinatal Psychoprophylaxis participate actively during labor, control the fear, pain, apply non-pharmacological techniques achieving this shorten the labor and gain knowledge about the process of labor. Abstract (Spanish): Introducción.
