Abstract (English):	Self-Help and Counsel are different activities though can overlap each other in some aspects. The meaning of self help frecuently promotes an individualist conception of a subject which is dissociated from his context, and a perspective of the psychological functioning in terms of parameters and entities. This conception of the person at the same time promotes and is promoted by the self-help culture and counsel procedures. This culture is one of the frames that shape the subjects and psychological problems that became object of study and work for psychology and psychotherapy. Genesis and process are proposed as worth considering alternative concepts for psychology and psychotherapy, both at an individual and at a colective level. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish):	Autoayuda y consejo son actividades diferentes aunque pueden solaparse en algunos aspectos. El sentido de la autoayuda promueve frecuentemente una concepción individualista de un sujeto desvinculado de su contexto y una visión del funcionamiento psicológico en términos de parámetros y entidades. Esta configuración de la persona al tiempo promueve y es promovida por la cultura de la autoayuda y la práctica del consejo. Este es uno de los marcos en los que se configuran los sujetos y los problemas psicológicos materia de estudio y trabajo de la psicología y la psicoterapia. Se proponen como alternativas de interés en psicología y psicoterapia los conceptos de génesis y proceso, tanto a nivel individual como colectivo. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
