| Abstract: | Student group closes café over 'slave' joke - Dec. 16 The decision of the Graduate Students' Association at Wilfrid Laurier University to cancel Veritas Café operator Sandor Dosman's contract was both heavy handed and hypocritical. Yes, Dosman's advertisement that included a reference to a "slave" was inappropriate and not in keeping with WLU community values. However, two wrongs don't make a right. The decision to cancel his contract without any warning or opportunity for Dosman to show contrition was also quite shockingly against Canadian values of forgiveness and redemption.
