| Abstract: | Race 1: Nevis is very consistent and his two runs back from a spell have been top rate. He pushed the smart galloper Fiery Sunset all the way last start, going down by only a short half head. This field is not as strong and she will be very hard to beat. Saxon is a talented colt and is never far away. The small field and the step to 1800 metres here should suit. Coming Storm did handle a sharp rise in grade when he scored at cricket-score odds last start at Warwick Farm, and he goes up only 1.5 kilograms here after the claim. Celtic Lore and Modellista also have hopes. |
