| Abstract (English): | Objective: To identify and describe the sexual practices and risks against STIs present in a group of university students in the city of Cali. Method: The study is non-experimental descriptive-type with probability sampling. A total of 110 young university students were surveyed, aged between 15 and 24 years. The information was collected by applying CCVSA Questionnaire, which inquired about the main sexual practices exercised by the university students, as well as the perception of risk from the presence of STIs. Results: Most students take risks associated with the use of preventive measures when they associate confidence and stability in the relationship. However, multiple sexual partners per year are reported, something that increases their chance of getting an STI. Conclusions: It is important to strengthen intervention strategies aimed at strengthening self-efficacy for making decisions that will generate self-care practices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
