| Abstract: |
The article provides information about the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and Student Service-Learning which is designed to create a project partnership among the Research Scholars and the Prosumer Group. The approach of CBPR to research gives an opportunity to take academia to the community. It eliminates the lag time between research and community implementation. Study reveals that CBPR is beneficial to students and community partners alike. It led to the establishment of trust and partnership, mutual care and respect and enrichment of all involved in the study. These are considered to be significant in creating learning and service in academia and the community. The study proves that Student Service-Learning with CBPR yields a better-equipped and transformed nurse. |
