The article summarizes an article on sedimentary rock in the Gale crater on Mars, which appears elsewhere in the issue. Researchers used data from the Curiosity rover to determine that stream deposits carried gravel and sand from the crater's northern wall and rim down to an internal lake system. The formation of Mount Sharp is also discussed. |
