| Abstract (English): | Telling stories about love is a practice of everyday life. People develop stories of love throughout life, which turn into frames of reference regarding how we conceptualize it. Experiences of love using stories, particularly written stories, are studied. Fifteen participants composed the sample: five (5) grandmothers, five (5) mothers and five (5) daughters. After analyzing the narratives transversely, one realizes that the spirit of ideal love, the love of giving, and the notion that personal happiness depends on love are all present. Other emerging issues are also discussed: the first experience, marriage, family, life transition and the search for true love. Differences were mostly found in the daughters, who do not recognize violence in love relationships, among other elements. Further research should study the male perspective about their experiences of love. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | Contar historias sobre el amor es una práctica de la vida cotidiana. Las personas desarrollan historias de amor a lo largo de la vida, que se convierten en marcos de referencia respecto a cómo lo conceptualizan. Se estudiaron las experiencias amorosas utilizando las historias, en particular historias escritas. La muestra se compuso de 15 participantes: (5) abuelas, (5) madres y (5) hijas. Al analizar las narrativas de manera transversal, se mantiene la mirada del amor ideal, el amor de entrega y la noción de que la felicidad personal depende del amor. También se analizan otras temáticas emergentes como: primera experiencia, matrimonio, familia, transición de vida y búsqueda del verdadero amor. Se encontraron divergencias mayormente en las hijas, quienes no reconocen la violencia en las relaciones de pareja, entre otros elementos. Se sugiere para futuras investigaciones, estudiar la perspectiva masculina sobre sus experiencias amorosas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Portuguese): | Narrar historias sobre o amor é uma pratica da vida cotidiana. As pessoas desenvolvem historias de amor ao longo da vida, que se tornam em quadros de referencia sobre como o conceitualizam. Estudaram-se as experiências de amor usando as historias, particularmente historias escritas. A amostra foi composta de 15 participantes: (5) vovós, (5) mães, e (5) filhas. Ao analisar as narrativas de forma transversal nos deparamos com que é mantido o olhar do amor ideal, o amor de entrega e a noção de que a felicidade pessoal depende do amor. Também foram analisadas outras questões emergentes como: primeira experiência, matrimonio, família, transição da vida e a procura do verdadeiro amor. As divergências foram achadas maiormente nas filhas, as quais não reconheceram a violência nos relacionamentos de casal, entre outros elementos.
