Abstract: Repetitive nerve stimulation (RNS) in limb muscles has low sensitivity in myasthenia gravis with muscle-specific tyrosine kinase antibodies (MuSK-MG) given the predominant involvement of cranial and neck muscles [[1]]. MG was diagnosed after single-fiber EMG (SF-EMG) of the frontalis muscle showed increased jitter (no details available) and serum MuSK antibody (Ab) was detected by standard radioimmunoassay (RIA) (1.12 nMol/L, reference < 0.05). Needle electromyography (EMG) of the deltoid muscle showed polyphasic motor unit action potentials (MUAPs) of reduced amplitude associated with fibrillation potentials; 3 Hz RNS of the axillary nerve did not show a decremental pattern.
