| Abstract: |
The article focuses on the maximum likelihood factor structure of the family environment scale. Attempts to characterize and define the relationship between the family's interpersonal structure and the behavior of its members have occupied the attention and energies of clinical psychologists, educators and communication theorists, among others. Although myriad theoretical frameworks have been constructed to account for these relationships, empirical investigations have awaited, not surprisingly, the development of methods and instruments for reliably scaling interpersonal perceptions and identifying the significant dimensions of family life. |
