Abstract: The article explores the advantages and disadvantages of the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered ChatGPT chatbot in social work education and offers recommendations for using ChatGPT in teaching, research and practice. It explains the role of social workers and educators in AI research and development to help address inequities. It presents examples and ideas for using AI in social work education and with social work students, and examples of the limitations of AI in social work education.
