Abstract: An editorial is presented which highlights the need for a paradigm shift in addressing mental health by prioritizing prevention, health promotion, and treatment. The editorial emphasizes the importance of school-based social-emotional learning interventions, but also acknowledges the challenges and lessons learned from previous studies, including the need for articulating mechanisms of action, co-designing interventions with young people, and recognizing the role of schools in mental health.
