| Abstract (English): | This article presents a review of the role of parents in the sociomoral development of children from different theoretical perspectives. Emphasis is placed on the role of parents as attachment figures and on the opportunities for parental scaffolding derived from the conflicts that are processed in the family context, opportunities that are related not only to the development of moral concepts, but also to the construction of a sense of moral agency. We conclude by presenting challenges for research in our contexts and for the strengthening of parental support processes and policies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | Este artículo presenta una revisión en torno al rol de los padres en el desarrollo sociomoral de los hijos desde diferentes perspectivas teóricas. Se enfatiza en el papel de los padres en tanto figuras de apego y en las oportunidades para el andamiaje parental que se derivan de los conflictos que se tramitan en el contexto familiar, oportunidades que se relacionan no solo con el desarrollo de conceptos morales, sino también con la construcción del sentido de agencia moral. Se concluye presentando desafíos para la investigación en nuestros contextos y para el fortalecimiento de procesos y políticas de apoyo a la parentalidad. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
