Abstract:	This article opens a discussion about how to acknowledge the multiple identities of and better understand the experiences of LGBTQ+ adopted people, emphasizing the intersectionality of their identities and its impact on mental health, well-being, and identity development. It underscores the importance of developing inclusive and culturally competent support systems, policies, and research to foster resilience and affirm diverse identities. By addressing these aspects, the article aims to advance understanding and inform the development of effective policies and practices that support the well-being and identity development of LGBTQ+ adopted individuals. In summary, we suggest that many LGBTQ+ adopted people come out twice: first to their friends about being adopted, and second to family and friends when they disclose that they are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
