Abstract (English):	This article aims to provide a theological and pastoral reading of the Beatitudes found in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5.1-12), highlighting their relevance, applicability, and implications for contemporary Christian praxis. The research adopts a hermeneutical and theological-biblical approach, also incorporating analytical elements from the "counter-current" reading inspired by Walter Benjamin's philosophy, as an interpretative category that reveals tensions between challenge and reward in the Beatitudes. The methodology applied consisted of textual and exegetical analysis of the Beatitudes in light of their linguistic expressions in Hebrew and Greek, as well as a dialogue with classical and contemporary theologians such as Augustine, Luther, Calvin, Wesley, Stott, Carson, Lloyd-Jones, among others. The results indicate that the Beatitudes constitute not only a description of the expected character of Christ's disciples but also an ethical model of Christian counterculture in opposition to the structures of power, consumerism, and liquid morality of modern society. The Beatitudes present themselves as foundations for the reconstruction of the Christian ethos, calling leaders and church members to a life marked by humility, meekness, justice, mercy, purity, and peace as an active testimony of the Kingdom of God. The study concludes that, more than unattainable ideals, the Beatitudes are possible through spiritual regeneration, with true Christian spirituality evidenced by a practical ethic rooted in the Word and lived in communion with God and neighbor. Abstract (Portuguese):	Este artigo tem por objetivo realizar uma leitura teológica e pastoral das Bem-Aventuranças presentes no Sermão do Monte (Mateus 5.1-12), destacando sua atualidade, aplicabilidade e implicações para a práxis cristã contemporânea. A pesquisa parte de uma abordagem hermenêutica e teológico-bíblica, incorporando também elementos analíticos da leitura "à contrapelo", inspirada na filosofia de Walter Benjamin, enquanto categoria interpretativa que evidencia tensões entre desafio e recompensa nas beatitudes. A metodologia aplicada consistiu em análise textual e exegética das Bem-Aventuranças à luz de suas expressões linguísticas no hebraico e no grego, bem como no diálogo com teólogos clássicos e contemporâneos, como Agostinho, Lutero, Calvino, Wesley, Stott, Carson, Lloyd-Jones, entre outros. Os resultados apontam que as Bem-Aventuranças constituem não apenas uma descrição do caráter esperado dos discípulos de Cristo, mas um modelo ético de contracultura cristã frente às estruturas de poder, consumo e moralidade líquida da sociedade moderna. As Bem-Aventuranças apresentam-se como fundamentos para a reconstrução do ethos cristão, convocando líderes e membros da igreja a uma vida marcada pela humildade, mansidão, justiça, misericórdia, pureza e paz, como testemunho ativo do Reino de Deus. O estudo conclui que, mais do que ideais inatingíveis, as beatitudes são possíveis mediante regeneração espiritual, sendo a verdadeira espiritualidade cristã evidenciada por uma ética prática enraizada na Palavra e vivida na comunhão com Deus e com o próximo.
