| Abstract: | For this special issue, we chose to highlight the voices of Alon-Lee Green and Rula Daood, a Jewish Israeli and a Palestinian citizen of Israel, who jointly co-lead the "Standing Together" movement. The conversation with Alon-Lee Green and Rula Daood delves into the challenges faced by Palestinian citizens of Israel and Jewish Israelis in envisioning a shared future amidst ongoing conflict and societal divisions. Alon-Lee emphasizes the importance of resilience and shared persistence as a key to moving beyond trauma and creating a peaceful reality. Conversely, Rula reflects on the widening gaps between communities since October 7th, highlighting the struggle for a different reality and the need to address societal divisions and identity crises. The dialogue also touches upon the complexities of nationalism, empathy, and interest in bridging national sentiments between Jews and Palestinians in Israel.
