Abstract: University students with disabilities often face additional academic challenges that necessitate greater support. However, it remains unclear whether support needs differ across disability types. This study investigated study stress, perceived support, and support-seeking intentions among students registered with Disability Support Services, grouped by neurological, mental health, or physical disabilities. It was hypothesised that these variables should differ across three disability groups. Sixty-five students completed the Perception of Academic Stress Scale, the General Help-Seeking Questionnaire, and the 'University Support and Acceptance' subscale of the University Belonging Questionnaire. A cross-sectional, between-subjects design revealed that while perceived support and support-seeking intentions did not significantly differ across groups, students with neurological or mental health disorders, however, students with mental health or neurological disorders reported significantly higher study stress than those with physical disabilities. These findings highlight the need for tailored support strategies to address the specific academic stressors experienced by students with non-apparent disabilities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
