Abstract (English): This ethnomethodological study, grounded in the Health Action Process Approach (HAPA) model, analyzed certification processes within health programs among small-scale dairy producers in Alto Putumayo. Based on interviews with certified, previously certified, and non-certified producers, positive perceptions were identified regarding the ability to achieve certification, although concerns persist regarding costs, the culling of test-positive animals, and institutional distrust. Findings indicate that maintaining certification is easier than obtaining it initially and that external support plays a key role in facilitating the certification process. The study highlights how perceptions, expectations, and risk appraisal influence the adoption and maintenance of sanitary practices. It underscores the need for differentiated and context-sensitive strategies to promote greater participation in these programs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
