Abstract: The article reports on the study which states that air travel restriction would not help an influenza pandemic. Researchers have presented computer models and found that closing down airports to be less useful are skeptical. Neil Ferguson of Imperial College London and his colleagues have found out that border controls and internal travel restrictions would not slow viral spread by more than two to three weeks. Ben Cooper and his colleagues at the Health Protection Agency in Great Britain, states that it is due to the reason that flu spreads extraordinarily rapidly. According to World Health Organization spokesperson Gregory Hartl, the findings could be considered as an emergency measure to avert of delay a pandemic.
