Abstract: In this article, the authors discuss aspects of the centralized system in human action that is composed of amodal symbols. They mention that they proposed a top-down activation of perceptual symbols called the unconscious action pathways which encapsulates the incentive response system. They also discuss the different stages of processing which include the indirect cognitive control, conscious and action systems, and mandatory inputs and mandatory pathways.
