The article reports on the evaluation of population-level effect of the HIV prevention initiative in India the Avahan. The objection of Avahan is to decrease HIV transmission in the general population. It notes that the population prevalence is estimated by use of adjustment factors from the HIV sentinel surveillance data from antenatal clinics. |
