Abstract: The article reports on a research initiative which was developed between the institutional review board of Yale University and the ethics review committees of School of Health at the Universidad del Valle and the International Center for Medical Research and Training in Colombia. The initiative was created to raise awareness of possible strategic initiatives that might enrich the protection of human subjects in research and increase the knowledge of those who approve and oversee human research.
