Abstract: The article focuses on riboswitch-regulated noncoding RNA's role in sequestration of a two-component response regulator in Listeria monocytogenes. It states that in Listeria, a riboswitch which binds cobalamin controls the expression of the noncoding regulatory RNA Rli55 which in turn controls expression of the eut genes and requires cobalamin as a cofactor to enable ethanolamine utilization. It comments on the role of Rli55 in sequestering proteins in bacterial gene regulation.
