| Abstract: |
The article reports on the launch of the English version of the treasures of classical Indian civilization including a collection of poetry by Buddhist women and a major biography of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. This initiative is called the Murty Classical Library of India which is project of Sheldon Pollock of Columbia University. Topics include Pali, Persian and Punjabi languages, literature and civilization, and Hindu and Buddhist literature. |
