| Abstract (English): | This study critically analyzes the discourse of the video "Plantón No Más 3 Caínes - Marzo 22, 2013" that highlights the manifestation of a victim's movement in Colombia which took place in front of the headquarters of RCN television studios against one of its series titled "Los 3 Caines". This kind of phenomenon is stated as a "social movement response". The series tells the story of the Colombian para-militarism from the perspective of the perpetrators instead of the victims' point of view making them invisible to the spectator. Along the history of mass-media, there have been few protests against their discourse, thus the relevance to examine it in detail. The testimonial voice and the construction of a collective are characteristic of the discourse analyzed in this study. Criticizing the media shows the decline of their credibility and the capacity of citizens as a group. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | Este es un Estudio Crítico del Discurso del vídeo "Plantón No Más 3 Caínes - 22 de marzo de 2013" que da cuenta de la manifestación del Movimiento de víctimas en Colombia frente a la sede de RCN televisión. A esta acción se le denomina 'respuesta social'. La teleserie cuenta la historia del paramilitarismo desde la mirada de los victimarios y además invisibiliza a las víctimas. En la historia de los medios son escasas las protestas en contra del discurso mediático, lo que le otorga a este acontecimiento relevancia analítica. La voz testimonial y la construcción de un colectivo son características del discurso estudiado. Criticar a los medios evidencia el declive de su credibilidad y la capacidad de agencia ciudadana. | Abstract (Portuguese): | Este é um Estudo Crítico do Discurso do vídeo "Plantón No Más 3 Caínes - 22 de março de 2013" que dá conta da manifestação do Movimento de vítimas na Colômbia em frente à sede da televisão RCN. Essa ação é chamada de "resposta social". A novela conta a história do paramilitarismo a partir da perspectiva dos perpetradores e também torna as vítimas invisíveis. Na história da mídia existem poucos protestos contra o discurso da mídia, o que confere relevância analítica a esse evento. A voz testemunhal e a construção de um coletivo são características do discurso estudado. Criticar a mídia mostra o declínio de sua credibilidade e a capacidade de agência do cidadão.
