Abstract:	The objective of this document is to disseminate information about the methodological procedure of Participatory Action Research (PAR), with the aim of identifying real necessities that guarantee the design of strategies of sustainable development. The text develops theoretical and methodological reflection with respect to the concrete application of PAR in rural contexts. It generates useful information for action with reference to taking technical decisions in describing the reflexive process generated on the basis of how PAR operates in rural contexts in the state of Colima.
