Abstract (English): The Chilean Air Force is planning to modernize its aircraft fleet, including the Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon and the T-35 Pillán. The modernization program was suspended in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but it is expected to be resumed in the future. The estimated cost of the program is $634.70 million, and the main contractor would be Lockheed Martin. In addition, the Chilean Air Force has received C-130H aircraft for transport and has acquired A-29B Super Tucano aircraft for training and light attack. El costo estimado del programa es de 634,70 millones de dólares y el contratista principal sería Lockheed Martin.
