Abstract (English): The article highlights the importance of having accurate and timely data for disaster risk reduction and humanitarian programs. However, there is a data deficiency in the context of urban displacement due to factors such as geofencing and definitions of locations and population categories. Operational decisions related to geofencing and definitions of displacement locations are the aspects that most influence data collection results. In urban disaster contexts, five main types of displacement locations are highlighted. Resource limitations and priorities can lead to data not being collected on people leaving the affected area. Improving data collection would allow for a better understanding of the needs of displaced people and host families, as well as a more effective response to their needs. Fiji's Relocation Guidelines provide guidance to other states facing similar challenges in the process of relocating climate-affected communities. [Extracted from the article]
