Abstract (English):	This article addresses the issue of the construction of femininity through the historical study of the teaching of women in the Municipal School of Arts and Crafts in Vigo in the first decades of the Franco period. This study tries to historically reflect on the meaning of gender in the conceptualization of artistic education aimed at working women, analyzing domesticity discourses immersed in the Franco political and social system. The main thesis is that worker education in the Municipal School of Arts and Crafts in Vigo during the first stage of the Franco regime served to disseminate and strengthen the discourse of female subordination. Abstract (Spanish):	Este artículo aborda el tema de la construcción de la feminidad a través del estudio histórico de la enseñanza de las mujeres en la Escuela Municipal de Artes y Oficios de Vigo en los primeros decenios del período franquista. Este estudio trata de reflexionar historiográficamente en torno al significado de género en la conceptualización de la enseñanza artística dirigida a mujeres obreras, analizando los discursos de domesticidad inmersos en el sistema político y social franquista. La tesis principal es que la enseñanza obrera en la Escuelas Municipal de Artes y Oficios de Vigo durante la primera etapa del régimen franquista sirvió para divulgar y reforzar el discurso de subordinación femenina.
